N2:  Take N2 to Balrath Cross (R153 / Navan).  Continue along R153 for 10kms approximately when you will find Athlumney Manor B&B on your left.

M3:  Direction – travelling north from Dublin:  Take M3 to EXIT  8  for Navan/R147.  Turn right at 3rd traffic lights for Kentstown/R153.  Continue to  Y  junction and keep right. Athlumney Manor is 50 metres further on, on right.

Direction – travelling south from Cavan:  Take N3 and then M3. Continue along M3 to EXIT 9 and follow directions for Navan/R147.  Continue along R147 and turn left at 4th traffic lights for Kentstown/R153.  Continue along R153 to  Y junction and keep right.  Athlumney Manor is 50 metres further on, on right.

NOTE: R147 is a relatively recent route change and this may still appear on maps as N3

Athlumney Manor is in the centre of County Meath, making this a superb base for exploring the magnificent history of the county – closeby is Newgrange Heritage site, Mellifont Abbey, Battle of  Boyne site, Hill of Tara, Slane Castle, Hill of Slane, Trim Castle, Kells (Book of Kells), Loughcrew.

Bettystown and Laytown beaches are just 30 minutes from Navan, ideal for a walk or swim during the summer. There are plenty of other scenic walks along the River Boyne in Navan.
For the horse racing enthusiasts there are plenty of race courses in the area at Navan, Fairyhouse, The Curragh and Leopardstown.
Golf  – there are 3 golf courses in Navan and one in Kells and Laytown (20 minutes by car).
There is an equestrian centres closeby for horse riding.
Fishing on River Boyne in Navan is very popular or the many other rivers locally.

There is a bus service to and from Dublin city centre every 30 minutes should you wish to take a break from driving while you go sightseeing in Dublin.
